What are Personal Management Services?
Our Affluent Clients have many Professional Advisors (Attorneys, CPA’s, Financial Managers, Insurance Advisors, etc.) working for them minding after their family’s business affairs; however, our clients still need someone to watch over their Professional Advisors!
Sadly, we have found that each professional firm has their own agenda. Most good professionals will do their best to keep their client’s needs in line with their firm’s private agenda, but in the end, their agenda will always prevail.
What our clients look to us to do is make sure their needs come before each professional’s private agenda. We are ideally posed to play that role because we have nothing to sell to you as the client, so our agenda is always the same as the client’s agenda.
Personal Management Services is a fancy name for a “Problem Solver”. Our Clients come to us, not only to watch over and coordinate the actions & activities of their Professional Advisor Team, but to also come up with solutions for complex problems that are created in this complex world we live in. Over the last 47 years we have acquired a very special skill set that allows us to see creative solutions to problems, over a very wide spectrum of the Clients personal financial and business life. We are known to have the creativity to solve problems that seems to evade other Professionals.
We constantly ask our Clients to give us the challenge of solving a problem that neither they nor their current Advisor Team can solve!!
When others cannot solve the client’s problem, the client comes to Private Client Advisors!
How are we compensated?
We are primarily compensated out of any value we can bring to our clients, so we only make money when our client makes money or saves money that would normally go to someone else.
Take tax for an example, if were working with your current tax advisors and were able to bring ideas and concepts to the table that they are not aware of and that helped them decrease your income tax obligation in a given year then we are compensated with the equivalent of a very small piece of what you, as the client, saves.
Several years ago my young son was ask by one of his friends “What does your Dad do?” and my son responded “my Dad follows rich guys around and picks up the dollar bills that fall out of their pockets and then sits down with them every so often and give most of those dollar bills back to the rich guy and keep a couple for picking them up”. Crude, but concise!
